Developing fear for and becoming close to Allah Ta'ala

1. How do I develop fear of Allah?
2. How do I become close to Allah?
Answer
1. Understand the greatness of Allah Ta`ala, His majesty, the favours that you enjoy, the bounties for which you have not paid and His might and the fact that Allah Ta`ala can terminate everything whenever He wishes.
2. Don't do anything that will amount to the displeasure of Allah Ta`ala.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
