Wearing a tie
Question
What is the Islamic viewpoint of a Muslim student wearing a tie if it's part of the school uniform policy? Should the parents make an issue and say it's against our religion or is it not so serious?
Answer
Wearing a tie is totally undesirable. It is important for the parents to speak to those in charge and ask them to relax this rule for the Muslim children.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
