Taking an Oath for acts of kufr
Question
A person who promised or said or took a qasam etc. to commit an act of kufr or commit an act of kufr at the time of death or join shaytaan or follow him or become brothers with him or accept his offers or accept it at the time of death or die as a non-muslim or commit a sin etc. Does it suffice to seek Allah's forgivness alone?
Answer
If he had intended to commit an act of kufr at any time or to join shaytaan in defiance to Allah Ta`ala then these are all works of kufr. Hence, such a person has to renew his imaan.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
Q: So all that such a person needs to do is seek Allah's forgiveness and read the kalimah and no fasting or anything else required then it is completly erased and as if they never happened?
A: Yes.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
