Removing the love for the world from one's heart
Question
How does one know one has حب الدنيا (love for the world) and how to remove it?
Answer
When one prefers anything or any person over the command of Allah Ta`ala and His beloved Rasul-e-Paak (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). Think to yourself that every favour that you enjoy is from the loving hands of Allah Ta`ala. There isn't a single thing that you don't enjoy from Him directly or indirectly. So how can you betray Him?
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
