Is it permissible for a lady to wear a colourful scarf with her black abaya and black niqaab?
Answer
The teaching of the Mubarak sunnah is that when a woman leaves her home, she should not wear beautiful and attractive clothing that will draw the attention of men towards her.
The reason is that this type of clothing will cause men to be inclined towards her or incite wrong feelings in their hearts towards herself. Ultimately, this has the potential to lead to sin and fitnah
Therefore, a woman should refrain from wearing a colourful scarf with her Abaya when leaving her home. Nevertheless, within her home, she may adorn herself with such colourful clothing before her husband and family.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
