Selling balloons with a ‘Happy Birthday’ sticker
Question
A person sells balloons with a ‘Happy Birthday’ sticker on it. This is their only form of income. Is it permissible to sell this type of item?.
Answer
Selling this type of balloons is makrooh as one is promoting the kuffaar culture of celebrating birthdays. Hence, one should refrain from this and make taubah.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
