Man tying a pony tail
Question
Is it permissible for men with a beard and long hair to tie a pony tail for keeping their hair neat? Or will this be considered tashabbuh with women?
Answer
It is not permissible for men to tie a ponytail at the back of their head as this has resemblance with the hairstyle of women.
The Hadith has cursed those men who resemble women in their dressing and has cursed those women who resemble men in their dressing.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
