Question

My daughter runs a small maktab from home wherein she takes a small fee for teaching the preschool children.

My husband says as she is earning, his responsibility towards seeing to their needs is over... Moreover she should contribute by paying a small rental for the room she is using. Is his thinking correct?

Answer

The fact that your daughter is teaching deen and the Quraan Shareef is such a great blessing that no amount of money can compensate for it. Rather, give her all the encouragement for teaching the Quraan Shareef and deen. Who knows, that because of teaching the Quraan Shareef that the household is being blessed and saved from many other calamities.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
