Hajj & UmrahPermissible and Impermissible actions in Ihraam

Question

Is it permissible for one in the state of ihraam to kill spiders, crickets, and other similar insects?

Answer

It is permissible for one in the state of ihraam to kill insects that are harmful. Hence, it is permissible to kill these insects.

As for insects that are not harmful, then it is not permissible for one to kill them in the state of ihraam. If one kills them in the state of ihraam, one will be sinful, however no penalty will be compulsory.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
