Question

Rasulullaah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “Standing for a brief while in the path of Allaah is better than performing salaah for sixty years at home. Do you not want your sins to be forgiven and to enter Jannah?” (Mustadrak).

Is this only for jihad where you have to fight kuffar or mushreekeen or this sawab can also be obtained in tableegi jamaat where you have to stay in different mosque and call people towards Allah.

Exactly what is Allah's way? I have heard that a person that earns halal is in Allah's way and a person walking towards the mosque for salah is in Allah's way. Now the sawab of more than 60 years nafil salah can be obtained by the person earning halal and walking towards the mosque for salah?

Answer

This hadith is in reference to jihaad.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
