Making tawbah from watching haraam
Question
Does leaving a bad deed e.g. I was watching insta and it contains music, uncovered girls, etc , become minor or major shirk if left because of someone? Example, my mom came and I did not want her to assume I am watching internet for long or because she had not allowed me to watch and I am hiding.
Answer
This is not shirk but this is a major sin for which tawba is necessary. Sincerely repent to Allah Ta'ala for committing this sin and make a firm resolve that you will refrain from this in the future.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
