Performing salaah behind an imaam involved in bid'aat
Question
Namaz behind such imam:
If there's a Barelvi masjid in my area and they say the following before or after azan: "assalatu wassalamu alaika ya rasulullah wa ala alika wa ashabika ya noor Allah"
Can I pray behind them and if not, should I repeat every prayer behind them?
Answer
This is bidah (innovation in deen). If their aqeedah does not contradict the aqeedah of the Ahlus sunnah wal jamaa'ah, then it will be permissible for you to perform salaah behind them. However, it will be better and more rewarding to perform salaah behind people who are not involved in bidah (innovatory) practices.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
