Giving a bribe to secure a business deal
Question
I am in company who is selling a product for 2300 and I am dealing with the employee of the company. He is telling me to make the invoice for 2400 and after the transaction has been made then give him secretly 100 dollars.
Is this permissible for me to give secretly?
Answer
It is not permissible for you to give the employee 100 dollars secretly as this is a bribe which you are giving him for him giving you the deal. Bribery is haraam in Islam. If you give him 100 dollars, you will be assisting him in corruption and you will also be sinful.
