Purchasing a funeral vehicle with zakaat

Question

Is it permissible to give one's zakaat towards paying for the purchase of a funeral vehicle for needy muslim communities?

Answer

Zakaat monies cannot be used for this.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
