Giving a "fake" divorce
Question
Can a person, whose life and parents life is in danger, give a fake divorce which he and his wife only know is fake for the time being to resolve life threatening issues?
Answer
If he issues a divorce, the divorce will take place.
However, if he tells people that they are no longer married or they are divorced, then through giving false news (and lying in this manner), no divorce will take place.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
