Wearing a "tikka"
Question
Is it permissible to wear a tikka in Islam? It’s a piece of head/hair jewellery.
Can we wear it as it isn’t the actual bindi which is the dot on the forehead and is used in Asian cultures for adornment among Muslims as well as non Muslims?
Answer
Anything that resembles an alien culture or religion should be totally avoided.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Mufti Online — Madrasah Ta'leemuddeen. It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
