Purdah between in-laws
Question
Is purdah (hijab) to be observed between the father of the husband and and mother of the wife?
Answer
Observing purdah is not compulsory between son in-law and mother in-law, and father in-law and daughter in-law. However observing purdah is compulsory between the boys father and the girls mother.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
