Question

If my non-Muslim neighbour gives me money for my birthday, is it permissible for me to use that money?

Answer

Muslims do not celebrate birthdays. Celebrating birthdays is part of the kuffaar customs. Therefore, it is better for you not to accept this gift.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
