Making dua to marry someone who is already married
Question
Are we allowed to make dua for someone who's already married? I'm a female, who wants to marry this man. He's married already but separated from he's wife. Am I allowed to make dua asking Allah to grant me a marriage with him? Or am I sinful as I'm requesting Allah to make them get divorced?
Answer
Do not make dua for him to divorce his wife. This is not permissible. However, make dua to Allah Ta'ala to grant you a suitable spouse who will be good for your deen and dunya.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
