Question

My baby is almost a year old. He changed his nap times and now naps for the second time around 5 or 6pm. However, if it's getting close to 7pm, I wake him up as he only sleeps 3 or 4 hours post his wake up time and if he sleeps later than 7pm, he will sleep around 11 or 11:30pm at night.

My mom says Islamically it is wrong to wake a sleeping baby. What is the ruling regarding this?

Answer

Since the child is very small, it is better to leave the child to sleep till he wakes up himself.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
