How should one greet?
Question
What is the most appropriate manner when two muslims greet? Should one say salaam with shaking hands or take in the arms of the other chest to chest?
Answer
Both are recommended. If you meet a person after some time then it is better to embrace joining the chest and if you are meeting at close intervals then musaafahah i.e. shaking of the hands is recommended.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
