Please could you advice in the following scenario, what percentage would be the entitlement for each:
Husband passed away: Leaving behind £60,000.00
Inheritors:
2 Daughters
Wife
Mother
Father
Answer
The estate will be divided into 27 equal shares and distributed as follows:
The 2 daughters will receive 8 shares each
The wife will receive 3 shares
The mother will receive 4 shares
The father will receive 4 shares
Hence the distribution of the monetary figures will be as follows:
The 2 daughters will receive £17 777,77 (each)
The wife will receive £6 666,66
The mother will receive £8 888,88
The father will receive £8 888,88
The remaining 4 pence will be given in charity with the consent of all the heirs.
