Pictures of animate objects on a musalla
Question
My friend has a Musalla (prayer mat) which looks like it has facial images. Can the musalla be used for the purpose of sitting and sleeping? What other purposes can the Musalla with facial images be used for?
Answer
All images of animate objects are haraam in Islam. If your friend wishes to use the musalla then he should remove the images or cover it (through sewing some material over it).
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
