Repeatedly committing a sin
Question
I wanted to ask I often backbite about my father and so I understand I give away my good deeds. My question is if I ask forgiveness and he forgives me will I get my good deeds back or not?
Answer
A person who repeatedly commits a sin is in a very dangerous position. Sometimes you may lose all your rewards on account of persisting.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Mufti Online — Madrasah Ta'leemuddeen. It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
