Meeting up with a boy on facebook
Question
I have met this guy on facebook. At first we use to chat and just be friends and then one day my parents found out and I stopped talking to him. After a while I got in contact with him again. I really missed him and realised I was in love with him. Now that I speak to him, he knows I love him and he has asked me to marry him and would I talk to my parents? I don't want to do anything haraam. I have tried to forget him and I couldn't. Is there anyway, advice or duas that I could pray to help me with this. I rally want to marry him and have a halaal relationship.
Answer
This type of a relationship is haraam. The halaal procedure is that you should have spoken to your parents before starting off any relationship with a strange man who is ghayr mahram. Any casual and love relationship with a strange man is haraam and forbidden. In Islam this comes under illicit and haraam, shameful behaviour. Hence, make taubah and refrain from this.
