Rewards for controlling one's anger and lust mentioned in the Hadith
Question
What are some of the rewards for controlling and withholding the emotion and urge of aggression and lust?
Answer
It appears in a Hadith that a person who despite him having the ability to vent his anger, suppresses his anger only for the sake of Allah Ta'ala and forgives the one regarding whom he is angry with, on the day of Qiyaamah Allah Ta'ala will call him before the entire creation and allow him to choose whichever hoor of Jannah he desires. It appears in the Mubaaarak Hadith that the one who controls his lust and lowers his gaze from looking towards haraam, Allah Ta'ala will bless him with the true sweetness of Imaan.
