Inheritance
Question
A Muslim father passed away and left his house to two daughters, [from previous marriage... mother is also deceased] and new step mom. What is the share holding according inheritance between the step mom and the two daughters?
Answer
If these are the deceased’s only heirs then the estate will be divided into 16 equal shares and distributed as follows:
The wife will receive 2 shares
Each daughter will receive 7 shares
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
