Covering the head
Question
What is the various hanafi views on men covering or not covering the head in Salaah, eating and going to the bathroom. Another question is at what times should a mans head be covered according to the Hanafi school?
Answer
In salaah it is emphasised. It is makrooh to perform the salaah without covering the head. It is not a sunnah at the time of taking meals. It is desirable when going into the bathroom, though not a sunnah.
According to all four imams, whether one is in salaah or out of salaah the head should be covered.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
