Issuing a talaaq without really meaning it
Question
My husband said I talaaq you, he did not mean it and did not know the severity of this statement while not meaning it, he has apologised for saying
it and he has revoked it. However does this count as a Talaak being issued as he did not know understand by saying this will mean something as it was not his intention. Shafi Mathaab
Answer
One talaaq has taken place. However since he has revoked the talaaq and taken you back in the nikaah, you will remain as his wife.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
