Kindly let me know the meaning of the name Hamiz. Please advise if it is a good name for a boy and the preferable spelling.

We do not advise you to keep this name. You should rather keep another name.

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Mufti Online — Madrasah Ta'leemuddeen. It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
