Talking while the khutba is being delivered
Question
If you talk while the Khutbah is on, Is your Jumuah salaah valid? If you read the 4 sunaats while the Khutbah is on, is your Jumuah salaaah valid? If we talk or read four sunaats while the Khutbah is on, must we read the zohr salaah?
Answer
1. It is impermissible for one to speak while the Jumu'ah khutba is on. One will deprived of the reward of the Jumu'ah. However the Salaah will be valid.
2. While the khutba is in progress, one should not perform Salaah. However the Jumua Salaah will be valid.
