What the Darul Iftas say
“It is permissible to touch the screen without wudhu, however one should refrain from placing one's hand on the screen where the verses of the Qur'aan appear. If it is difficult, then one should make wudhu or one should use something to turn the pages on the screen.”
“It is permissible to recite the Glorious Qur`an from the computer or any other electronic or digital device. However, one must have ablution (wudhu) in order to touch the verses of Qur`an on the screen.”
“One should be in a state of Wudhu when holding or touching the screen of the Quraan app when opened.”
“It is permissible to encourage the recitation of the Quran through such means. It is advisable to be in the state of wudhu while touching the screen displaying the Quran.”
