What should I do after a wet dream?

“A wet dream is an erotic dream that causes involuntary ejaculation of semen. A dream where one is seen masturbating is not necessarily a wet dream, even though one finds some degree of excitement on awakening.”

“A person who has a wet dream on a plane when he cannot make ghusl or tayammum, he will perform his ṣalāh by only imitating the postures of ṣalāh. He will not recite anything in ṣalāh. Subsequently, he must make qaḍā’ of the ṣalāh performed on the plane as soon as he attains purity.”

“Ihtilaam is when a person wakes up from his sleep and finds semen on his clothing due to a wet dream. If wetness comes out in one's wakeful state, this is not regarded as ihtilaam.”

“If a person experiences a wet dream but finds no wetness then it is not obligatory upon him to take Ghusl. If a drop or two of semen emerged after awaking or during the day and one is certain that it is semen which has emerged as result of experiencing a wet dream, then Ghusl will be obligatory.”
