The Reality Of The Six Rak'aat Of Nawaafil Salaah After Maghrib On The Night Of 15th Sha'baan

The six units of voluntary Salaah (Nawaafil) offered after Maghrib on the night of the 15th of Sha'baan are a wellestablished practice among the revered scholars and spiritual masters of Ahl-e-Sunnat wa Jama'at. As the esteemed scholar Allamah Sayyid Muhammad Murtada Zabidi Husayni Alaihir Rahmah writes:

Translation: "It has been a continuous practice of the righteous predecessors (Salaf) to revive this blessed night by offering six Rak'aat of Salaah after Maghrib in sets of two. In each Rak‘aat, Surah Fatihah is recited once, followed by Surah Ikhlaas six times. After completing every two Rak‘aat, Surah Yaaseen should be recited once, followed by the well-known Dua Nisf Sha‘baan. The first two Rak‘aat are offered to seek blessings in lifespan, the second two for blessings in sustenance, and the final two for a good ending (Husn-e-Khaatimah). Scholars have mentioned that whoever performs these Salaah in this manner will have their supplications answered and their needs fulfilled. This Nafl Salaah is well-documented in the books of later Sufi scholars and is a recognized practice of the spiritual masters."
