Question

Is it ok to start a cake business where I sell cakes for Muslim weddings, and Eid celebrations? I will not sell for birthdays, anniverseries and non-Islamic holidays, but is selling cakes for weddings and Eid celebrations ok?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to sell cakes for weddings and 'Eid.
