Combing Multiple People’s Funds For Nafl Qurbani
Question
Can few people put money together and make qurbani for a deceased person or for NABI Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam?
Answer
Yes, it will be permissible for a group of people to collectively purchase an animal and slaughter it on behalf of Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam or a deceased individual. Hadhrat Mufti Mahmood Hasan Saheb Gangohi (Rahmatullahi Alayh), who was renowned as the Grand Mufti of India has mentioned in Fataawa Mahmudiyya (Vol. 17, Pg. 405) that this is permissible.
