Ladies only performing Salaah in Jamaat
Question
According to the Hanafi Madhab, is a lady who is Haafidha allowed to make Imaamat of other ladies? If yes, are there Jamaats for Taraweeh led by ladies for ladies?

Answer
It is Makrooh for females only to perform Salaah in Jamaat in the Hanafi Madhab. This refers to both Fardh and Taraweeh Salaah. Hence, females should perform their Salaah individually at home.

قَالَ – رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ – (وَجَمَاعَةُ النِّسَاءِ) أَيْ كُرِهَ جَمَاعَةُ النِّسَاءِ وَحْدَهُنَّ لِقَوْلِهِ – عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ – «صَلَاةُ الْمَرْأَةِ فِي بَيْتِهَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهَا فِي حُجْرَتِهَا وَصَلَاتُهَا فِي مَخْدَعِهَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهَا فِي بَيْتِهَا»؛ وَلِأَنَّهُ يَلْزَمُهُنَّ أَحَدُ الْمَحْظُورَيْنِ إمَّا قِيَامُ الْإِمَامِ وَسَطَ الصَّفِّ وَهُوَ مَكْرُوهٌ أَوْ تَقَدَّمَ الْإِمَامُ وَهُوَ أَيْضًا مَكْرُوهٌ فِي حَقِّهِنَّ فَصِرْنَ كَالْعُرَاةِ لَمْ يُشْرَعْ فِي حَقِّهِنَّ الْجَمَاعَةُ أَصْلًا وَلِهَذَا لَمْ يُشْرَعْ لَهُنَّ الْأَذَانُ وَهُوَ دُعَاءٌ إلَى الْجَمَاعَةِ وَلَوْلَا كَرَاهِيَةُ جَمَاعَتِهِنَّ لَشُرِعَ (تبيين الحقائق ص135 ج1)
