Constructing a Mimbar
Question
A new Masjid is being built and some differences need to be addressed urgently before construction is completed. What is the correct way to build the Mimbar? There are some narrations indicating three steps, and four steps in other narrations. Please clarify.
Answer
We understand from the text of the jurists that the Mimbar of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam were three steps in total. The Mimbar should be built closest to this. However, adding an extra step to it is permissible. The Mimbar in the picture seems to be in order.
