Performing Tawaaf of Umrah without Wudhu
Question
What is the Shar’ee ruling if a person had performed the tawaaf of umrah without wudhu?
Answer
One damm will become waajib. However, if the tawaaf performed without wudhu was repeated with wudhu, the damm will fall away.
Note: It also preferable to repeat the sa’ee if the sa’ee was done after the tawaaf without wudhu. However, if one only repeated the tawaaf and did not repeat the sa’ee, it will suffice.

ولو طاف للعمرة محدثا وسعى بعده فعليه دم إن لم يعد الطواف ورجع إلى أهله وليس عليه شيء بترك إعادة السعي، وكذا لو أعاد الطواف ولم يعد السعي لا شيء عليه، وفي الجنابة إن لم يعد السعي فعليه دم (غنية الناسك صـ 276)
ووجه الصحيح وهو اختيار شمس الأئمة السرخسي والإمام المحبوبي والمصنف رحمهم الله أن الطهارة ليست بشرط في السعي وإنما الشرط فيه أن يكون على إثر طواف معتد به، وطواف المحدث كذلك ولهذا يتحلل به فإذا أتى به مع تقدم الشرط عليه حصل المقصود فإن أعاد تبعا للطواف فهو أفضل وإلا فلا شيء عليه (العناية 3/57-58)
