Mother asking the son to divorce his wife

Is this true that when a mother asks the son to divorce his wife, he should divorce her? is the mum's status higher than the wife's status?
Answer
If it is for a valid reason then it is better for him to listen to his mother.
Yes. However, the wife should not be ignored and treated with any type of inferiority in her presence or absence.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
