Husband forcing the wife to pay for her own expenses
Question
I want to ask if a working woman can give her salary to her parents without the permission of her husband and can the husband bind her to use her own money to fulfill her own expenses if she is not giving any part to her husband?
Answer
Yes.
Her expenses with regards to food, shelter, and clothing are the duty of the husband. Apart from these obligations, if she has any other need the husband could ask her to see to her needs in her own way.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
