Mahr of a woman who was divorced before the nikaah was consummated
Question
I gave divorced to my wife after four months of nikah without consummating the nikaah? How much mahr should be paid to her?
Answer
If you had stipulated an amount then you should give her half the stipulated amount.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
