Issuing a talaaq while one's wife is in the state of haidh
Question
3 days ago my husband gave me a divorce in one message by saying that as per your wish, talaq talaq talaq... And you are free from my side. But I have my periods in these days. Someone told me that when a wife is not in taharat, talaq cannot tak eplace and she gave me a refrence of Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu anhu), that once he gave talaq to his wife in anger, and when he asked Hazrat Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), he said wait for her to become pure then you can give her a divorce if you want to... kindly guide me.
Answer
The three talaaqs are valid. It is not permissible for the husband to issue talaaq when his wife is in the state of haidh. However, if he issues the talaaq, the talaaq will be valid.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
