Keeping the name Lamees
Question
I would like to know if the name Lamees for a baby girl would be Islamically appropriate. I have heard that it was the name of a Sahabiyyah but I just wanted confirmation before naming her.
Answer
We do not know of this name.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Fatawa SA is an independent, read-only index of fatawa already published by Mufti Online — Madrasah Ta'leemuddeen. It is not a fatwa service. For your own situation, ask the issuing Darul Ifta directly.
