Leaving out a Sunnah because of peoples comments
Question
Would it be better not to act upon the sunnah if you have yaqeen that acting upon this sunnah will lead to backbiting by people who witness you acting upon it due to their ignorance?
Answer
Just totally disregard their reaction. Adhere firmly to the sunnah. Why remain amongst such jaahils who do not have any respect for the sunnat.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
