Selling wife's gold to resolve financial issues
Question
I want to know if I can sell my wife's gold set? My wife is not happy that I sell it. Does Islam give me permission to sell her gold set since we are have financial issues.
Answer
It is not permissible for you to sell your wife's gold set. If you take it away from her, you will be sinful for usurping her wealth. When it belongs to her, you have no right to take it away from her and sell it in order to settle your debts.
