Question

How much sleep should a 8 year old child becoming hafiz have? Even in general if a child is not becoming hafiz how much sleep should they have? Does Islam say anything into how many hours we should sleep also as adults?

Answer

Sleep is in proportion to need. Some children's need to sleep is greater than others. On average an 8 year old requires about 9 hours of sleep.

Adults require between 7 to 8 hours.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
