Reason for Hazrat Uthmaan (Radhiyallahu Anhu) bringing the Quraan in a single script
Question
Why Uthman (radhiyallahu anhu) had to rewrite Quran when Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu anhu) had a copy already?
Answer
The contribution of Hadhrat Uthman (radhiyallahu anhu) was that he brought the Qur'aan into a single script. It is as though all the different qiraats were assimilated in this single script.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
