The script of the Qur'an
Question
I noticed that the word fitrat (فطرة) is spelled in the Qur'an with a long taa rather than the round one (i.e. فطرت as in فطرت الله). Is it part of our religion that the spelling must be made in this way? Was it something that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) commanded?
Answer
This conforms to the script of Hazrat Usmaan (Radiyallahu Anhu). For further details refer to http://muftionline.co.za/node/5538
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
