First wife and parents stopping one from second marriage
Question
1. Is it permissible for first wife to stop her husband from second marriage.
2. If husband goes for second marriage without his first wife and parents consent, what are the rulings in Islam?
3. Also it is allowed/right for parents to stop their son from doing second marriage or pressurizing son to divorce his second wife.
Answer
1. No.
2. The nikaah is valid.
3. If they feel that he will not be able to do justice to both then they may stop him.
